These straps are made from beautiful embroidered vintage and one of a kind Faja Belts handmade by the Mayan women of Guatemala. Faja belts are part of the traditional Traje (traditional dress of the Mayan women). The vintage belts are sold for fair trade prices and repurposed into these belt straps that can be used on handbags or as camera straps.
Beautiful marbled tan full grain leather is on the front side and vinyl on the back side. The ends of the straps have with silver hardware clips to attach and detach to your bag for backpack straps.

This is my first purchase from this shop. I purchased these backpack straps in hopes of later purchasing a convertible day bag. If I am not able to purchase a convertible day bag, I am going to upcycle a backpack that I have. These backpack straps are absolutely gorgeous. The straps are colorful and well made. I love and appreciate the artisans talents in creating such treasures. I hope to purchase more items in the future.
